Litmus’ stalwart branding collaboration with their mentor IIMB and the iconic IIMU fostered our partnership with IIM Visakhapatnam. This experience helped us in planning design tactics during the brand identity development of IIMV. Fresh talent from all over the country comes to pursue their dream career at IIMV with high spirits. We had to bring the same energizing feeling in the design.
The top challenge of the project was to distinguish IIMV’s identity from other members of the IIM family and to give it a young character. We composed a creative concept for IIMV’s brochure that highlighted both its excellent two-year journey and future-vision. Every aspect of the institute was weaved with each designing element of the brochure. It was highly admired by the institute.
Our studio brainstormed a word cloud that represented Vishakhapatnam’s attractions and IIM’s features. Vishakhapatnam being the jewel of the east coast and famous for majestic beaches, we narrowed down on strong natural elements to integrate with the logo and build a creatively distinguished identity. We also delved into Sanskrit verses to find an apropos tagline which blended with the beautiful concept of our creative team. After the new logo got an overwhelming response, it was time to multiply. Students, Employees or corporate, every stakeholder got their share of IIMV’s association in branded merchandise. From a pen to the presentation, everything wears the logo with pride.
Our association with IIMV is a prolific alliance to be cherished. The unique approach to its branding won applauds from everywhere. IIMV’s overall identity today reflects their values, prowess and their interest in nation-building. It distinctly stands out in the IIM family as a youth icon that only moves forward.
